Silver is the son of Mark and Krystal.
Schmitz has committed to Wartburg College where he plans to continue his education and football career. He's had 37 receptions for 381 yds and 3 TDs this fall for the Knights.
Wartburg is a member of the NCAA III Iowa Conference.
