We had a storm roll through so the meet delayed starting until 5 o’clock. The course was in good shape but wet; however, the weather was great and we were glad to be able to get this meet in.

Our varsity putting overall was strong and we stayed out of penalty trouble. Olivia Walker had 16 putts. Lauren Tandy and Olivia Walker shot well in the conditions. I was pleased we had the two lowest scores, as several of the visitors were also in the 40s. We still need to get 4 in the 40s to have our team score where I think we are capable.

Only Don Bosco brought enough JV to have a team score. The V-S junior varsity won and Brandi Gerber was JV medalist. These young ladies continue to improve and show a lot of promise.

JV: total 233

Brandi Gerber 55

Mikayla Howard 57

Olivia Ketchen 60

Alex Maynard 61

Brittany Grendler 61

Abbe Wilson 70

We have three 18 hole tournaments next week. Monday varsity will play in the WAMAC conference Super Meet at the Amana Golf Course. Thursday varsity will play at the Prairie Invitational at Airport National golf course near Cedar Rapids and Saturday they travel to the Tama Country Club for their last meet of the season before Regional Tournament at Waverly on May 26.
