Sports : 34 bowlers compete in 10th Annual Coots 8/9 Pin Tourney

Jacob Gosse was the winner of the 10th Annual Coots 8/9 Pin Tourney.

Last Saturday, Berry's Lanes hosted the 10th Annual 8/9 Pin Tournament sponsored by Coots Materials. This tournament was held for all youth bowlers that participate in the local leagues at Berry's Lanes. This year we had 34 youths joined in on the competition. Each bowler bowled three games and the individual bowling with the highest score won a trophy. To provide an opportunity to all bowlers, the youths belonging to the Zippy Midgets were awarded a strike it they knocked down 8 pins on their first ball. Members of the Jr/Sr Jets were awarded a strike if they knocked down 9 pins with their first balls.

This year one of our senior bowlers won. Jacob Gosse bowled a 880 series, which included one 300 game. Many of other bowlers weren't too far behind Jacob.
