Sports : Local Family Doubles winners advance to State event in Marshalltown

Family Double event participants competed at Berry's Lanes in Vinton on Dec. 5-6. Results have been finalized with many teams advancing to the state competition. This year's state competition will be held Jan. 10-11 at Totem Bowl in Marshalltown. Berry's Lanes sent many area bowlers down to Lancer Lanes to compete against many other district bowlers. All of our youth bowlers had a lot of fun bowling with their parents in this competition. Good luck to all the teams advancing to the state competition!! The teams advancing are bolded below. Winners from the state competition have the opportunity to win trophies/plaques and scholarship money.
