The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department held its annual Two Person Best Shot this past weekend at the Vinton Country Club. 68 golfers took part in the event with great weather all day for the participants.

This year’s champions were the team of Shane Scott and Chris Boddicker who shot a seven under 63. The two battled the yips all day with the putting but finished their day off with a fantastic eagle on #18 to clinch the title. On the 18th Hole Shane drove the Par 4 with Chris sinking the putt which also won him the longest putt award for the morning session on that hole.

Todd Bohnsack and Melanie Blais were crowned the winners of the Coed Title with a super round of 69. All golfers were treated with some great prizes thanks to the unbelievable support by local and area businesses. Special thanks to the Vinton Country Club staff and all of the golfers who took part in the event.

Once again the V/S Girls Golf Team had their Dr. Pepper/Sun Drop Golf Hole on the Par 3 Hole 5. Proceeds from the day go to help the V/S Girls Golf Team program for instruction, equipment and miscellaneous expenses throughout the season. Listed below are the top four place winners for each flight. For a complete listing of the results go to vprdzone.com.
