The Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School seventh grade girls were big winners in their home Vikette Invitational Track Meet, finishing with 132 points, 26 more than second-place Center Point Urbana.

Those placing for the 7th grade Vikettes included:

Olivia Coder, second place, 100M and fifth place, long jump; Sarah Schminke, first place 200M and long jump; and third place, 400M; Libbie Timmerman, second place, 200M and sixth place, 400M; Grace Horst, first place, 800M second place, 1500M, and third place, high jump; Maddie Earhardt, first place, 100M hurdles and 200M hurdles and second place, high jump; Alissa Hendryx, third place, 100M hurdles; and Claire Smith, 6th place, discus.

The leading scorers for the 7th graders included: Maddie Earhardt, 28, Sarah Schminke, 26, Grace Horst, 24; Olivia Coder, 10; Libbie Timmerman, 9; Alissa Hendryx, 6; and Claire Smith, 1.

Girls placing for the 8th grade Vikettes, who finished fifth in team scoring, included:

Kamryn Lillie, first place, 100 yard dash, third place, 200M, fifth place, 200M hurdles and second place, long jump; Taylor Berry, first place, 200M and fifth place, longj ump; Elisabeth Davis, third place, 800M and 1500M. The 4 x 200 relay team also won first place.

Kamryn Lillie led the 8th grade Vikettes with 26 total points; Taylor Berry and Elisabeth Davis each added 12.
