Sports : Vikettes win at Beckman, 64-61, in OT

Three of the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes' first four basketball games have been decided by three points or less. That includes Friday's 64-61 overtime victory at Dyersville Beckman.

The Vikettes were down by four at half-time, and rallied to tie the game late in the fourth. They then outscored Beckman by three in overtime.

Sophomore Maci Griffith led the Vikettes with 23 points.Senior Bethany Stainbrook added 17, and sophomore Anna Sagan, 14.

Vikings lose at home

While the girls were winning, the VS Vikings were struggling at home, losing 58-38 to Beckman. Nolan Sagan led the Vikes with 21 points and nine rebounds. See stats HERE.
