VINTON:     Bradley “Brad” LeRoy Duncklee, 51, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Rev. David Gates officiating.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites conducted by Geo. G. Luckey American Legion Post #57 of Vinton and the United States Navy Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.  A memorial fund has been established.

     Brad was born July 23, 1961 in Vinton to Jerry and Madelyn (Belknap) Duncklee.  He lived in Vinton and moved to Fayette in 1975 where he graduated from High School in 1980.  In 1983, he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his nation for ten years prior to being honorably discharged I n 1993.  Brad was a veteran of Desert Storm.  In 1997 he moved back to Vinton and began his lawn mowing and snow removal business.  He was a proud member of Geo. G. Luckey American Legion Post #57 of Vinton.  Anyone who saw Brad always got a wave and a smile, and sometimes a funny joke.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

     Brad is survived by his mother, Madelyn Duncklee and her friend, Bob Beyer; his father and step-mother, Jerry and Joyce Duncklee; his brothers, Blane Duncklee and friend, Theresa Winders, and Brian Duncklee; his sister, Jolene Fisher and friend Daryl Hlas; his nephew Brady Fisher; Theresa’s children, Luke Whitley, Lindsey Kula, and Michael and Nathan Winders; two great-nieces and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Elma Belknap and Clark and Anna Duncklee; his aunt, Monica Belknap; and two cousins, Mike Duncklee and Brent Netser; and his beloved dog, Dillon.
