Clara Blanche Henkel
VINTON: Clara Blanche Henkel, 91 of Vinton died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness. A Private Family Service will be held with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. A Memorial Fund has been established.
Clara Blanche Coy was born October 16, 1919 the daughter of Ottis D. and Nellie Engeldow Coy at Shellsburg. On February 12, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ted Henkel at Van Horne.
Survivors include her daughter, Louise Grant of Cedar Rapids; three Grandchildren; Six Great Grandchildren and Three Great Great Grandchildren; one brother; Junior and two sisters, Genevieve Thiher and Edith Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three brothers and four sisters.
