ATKINS: Mary Ann Barbara Kreutner, 92, joined her Heavenly Father, November 9, 2016 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Atkins with Pastor Douglas Woltemath officiating. Interment will be held at St. Stephen's Cemetery near Atkins. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at the Fellowship Hall of the church. To honor Mary Ann's wishes, the casket will be closed. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Mary Ann Wilhelmi was born October 13, 1924 on the farm in Atkins to Karl and Laura (Rammelsberg) Wilhelmi. She was confirmed in 1938 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. On March 16, 1944 she was united in marriage to Marvin Kreutner at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Atkins. The couple farmed and raised their family in the Atkins area. In 1963 they purchased the Maples Resort in Delhi. Mary Ann enjoyed their years in that business and made many more lifelong friends. During her life she had also enjoyed membership at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Delaware and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester where she was a member of the Ladies Aide and Evangelism Team. Mary Ann mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards and her Bridge Players Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Leo (Valerie) Kreutner, John (Stephanie) Kreutner, Rick (Delaine) Kreutner and Randy (Jeanette) Kreutner; nine grandchirlen; and twelve great grandchildren.
