BR May 3, 2016, 2:15 pm RIP Pete. Pete hired me shortly after I graduated from high school at Rowley to work at his Good Year store and then later at the Shell gas station where the Farmers Bank now stands in Vinton. I couldn\'t believe it because I had a arm that was broken and in a cast and he still hired me. I ended up dong much of the on the farm tire repairs while I worked for him. He treated me more like a father than a boss and helped a dumb farm boy learn many lessons along with John Schoettmer including how to dismount and mount rear tractor tires. I will never forget him. Condolences to all his family and friends.
