Daniel Dennis Mahoney, 90, formally of Toddville, Iowa died Friday August 25, 2023 at Virginia Gay Nursing Home in Vinton Iowa.Dan was born in Independence Iowa on September 28th, 1932. Dan was the son of Daniel and Velma (Postel) Mahoney. Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Dan is survived by his four children Daniel (Donna) Mahoney of Elkland MO, Pam (Barry) Mahoney of Cedar Rapids, Valerie (Jeff) Bervid of Shellsburg Iowa, Dennis (Sharon) Mahoney of Columbia MO. Harold Robert Hild, 90, of Alamo, TX, passed away on August 3, 2023. Harold was born on October 24, 1932, in rural Black Hawk County near the Eagle Center Catholic Church to Dale and Alice (Yarrow) Hild. He attended country school, grade school in La Porte City and Evansdale and high school at Geneseo, East Waterloo, Gilbertville and graduated from La Porte City High School in 1950. Roger Bries

Marvin W. Brecher, age 85, of La Porte City, died while on his farm in La Porte City on Saturday, August 19, 2023.He was born February 24, 1938, in Waterloo, the son of Urbin and Cleo (Stahnke) Brecher. He graduated from La Porte City High School in 1956 and was united in marriage to Marlene Lundberg on June 11, 1961, in Ames, Iowa.Marvin cherished working and spending time on his farm, where for many years he took great pride in his cow-calf operation. Memorials may be directed to the family.Albert was born on July 29, 1961 in Muscatine, the son of Albert Daniel and Florence (Hubbard) Moore Sr. Albert had worked as a house painter, in housekeeping at Super 8 and Holliday Inn Hotels and at the Vinton Family Restaurant prior to his retirement.
