presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Warrants are issued by

Juvenile Referrals

March 8 A 16 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Theft 5th

Degree (Simple Misdemeanor).

March 17 A 11 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for

Carrying a Concealed Weapon (Serious Misdemeanor).

March 19 A 16 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Assault

(Simple Misdemeanor).

March 28 A 13 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Theft

5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanor).


Fourteen citations were issued in March. Four resulted from two state

reportable traffic accidents, two for possession of alcohol under legal age,

one for dog at large, one for urinating in public, and the remainder for other

traffic offenses.

Twenty-two written warnings were issued in March.

Sixteen parking/street storage/snow removal violations were issued in

March.

For the month of March, 143 complaints/calls for service were handled by

the Vinton Police Department.
