Our Sub-District and District events took place at Hawkeye Community College. We took 18 members to the Sub-District competition and 12 members to the District competition.
Abbie Darland, Colleen Finch, and Emily Cashman competed in Chapter Program. Their team got Gold at Sub-Districts advancing on to Districts. There, they received another Gold becoming alternates for the State competition.
Tim Houtchens competed in Agriculture Sales, selling corn meters. He got Gold at both Sub-District and District competition. He advanced to State.
Jacob Patrilla, Aaron Burkey, Daniel Janssen, CJ Fowler, and Riley Ries competed in Parliamentary Procedure. Their team received Silver at the Sub-District level.
John Eden competed at Sub-Districts reciting the FFA Creed. He got Bronze at that competition.
The Conduct Team consisted of Dawne Schminke, Karys Lillie, Caleb Svoboda, Dillion Brummer, Tim Haerther, Kyle Henkle, and Karley Kenney. They received Gold at Sub-Districts and were alternates for the District Competition.
Willow Huber Competed in Job Interview. She got a Gold but unfortunately did not advance.
Stephen Stinson, Karley Kenney, Jacop Patrilla, and Kyle Henkle took the Chapter Famer quiz at Districts. Jacob Patrilla got Gold on the quiz, individually he got First place, the team got third place overall. Riley Ries took the Greenhand quiz; he got Silver in the quiz.
Colleen Finch created the Reporters Scrapbook for Districts. She received a Gold but did not advance on to State. Jacob Patrilla created the Treasurer’s Book. He received Silver and also did not advance on to State.
Danisha Pladsen and Miranda Husted went to the District Competition to help out with Curtsey Core and helped with the judges with anything they needed.
