ASAC staff members return to this building this week, 3 1/2 months after the storm.

The roof of the building that houses the Benton County ASAC (Area Substance Abuse Council) offices was reduced to damaged rafters and the offices were soaked with rain during the history July 11 storm. After salvaging their equipment, the staff needed a temporary home while waiting for repairs. They found that home at the Virginia Gay Hospital's Vinton Family Medical Clinic, just north of the hospital.

Last week, the ASAC staff served a lunch to clinic employees to thank them for their hospitality. This week, ASAC will resume full operation in its regular office space.
