The Wesley United Methodist Church is auctioning off a homemade quilt to raise money for missions.
Beulah Fisher, a long time Vinton resident and avid seamstress, made the quilt top. After her death, her family gave Wesley the quilt top, which Kathleen Pettengill, of Forget Me Knot Quilting, quilted as her gift to missions.
The quilt is displayed from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 516 2nd Avenue and the public is invited to place a bid in this silent auction.
Bidding closes October 16th at 12 noon and the starting bid is $150.00. Please call 472-2581 with questions or to place a bid.
