The Benton County Board of Supervisors will be accepting sealed bids for the sale of county-owned property located in Benton County, Iowa, referred to as the “Animal Shelter” and is described as follows:

One acre in the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) of the Southeast Quarter (SE¼), all in the West Half (W½) of the Southeast Quarter (SE¼) of Section Twenty-Two (22), Township Eighty-Five (85) North, Range Ten (10) West of the 5th P.M.,

Upon the publishing of this notice, sealed bids may be submitted and accepted by 12:00 P.M. on February 6, 2026. No sealed bid will be accepted after 12:00 P.M. on February 6, 2026. All sealed bids will be opened on the 10th day of February, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. in the Conference Room, Benton County Service Center, 811 D Ave. Vinton, Iowa, for the purpose of selling said real estate.

All sealed bid inquiries, and submissions shall be made through the Benton County Auditor’s Office. The Board of Supervisors will only accept sealed bids through the designated accepted form that provides all reasonable notices to all seal bidders. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

All inquiries about the property shall be made through the Benton County Conservation Department.
