Virginia Gay Hospital (VGH) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Charles & Helen Yundt Charitable Foundation supporting the installation of three high-definition security cameras on the hospital campus. This investment strengthens the safety of patients, families, visitors, and staff, and reinforces the hospital’s longstanding commitment to secure, compassionate healthcare close to home.

The awarded funds have allowed VGH to expand surveillance coverage in key outdoor areas, including entrances and parking zones commonly used by those accessing emergency care, outpatient services, long-term care, and rehabilitation. The cameras provide enhanced visibility, deterring potential threats and improving response readiness for safety incidents.

“We are grateful for this support from the Charles & Helen Yundt Charitable Foundation, which enables us to take meaningful, proactive steps to protect all who enter our doors,” said Robin Martin, VGH Foundation Director. “A secure healthcare environment supports patients’ peace of mind, strengthens community trust, and allows us to better serve families throughout Benton County.”

This investment marks the first phase of a comprehensive, multi-year security enhancement plan designed to address evolving safety needs within rural healthcare. As VGH advances its long-term strategy, continued improvements will contribute to a resilient, welcoming, and well-protected medical environment for all.
