Vinton's electric crew has been working at the corner of C Ave. and 10th St. to replace a pole that had been hit. The pole was tilted just enough that crews saw a need to reset a new pole in the ground to correct the issues.

Hats off to our guys who work on the ground and adjust the high voltage wires when we get them out of whack. Tom Bodett has nothing on these guys. They are the ones that leave the light on for you!

LW August 18, 2023, 1:33 pm I live just down the street from the pole. On Monday, August 7th at 4 am, I was awake and heard a loud boom and a crack. I looked out my window and saw the taillights of a semi heading east on 10th street. I reported this to the police that morning.
