News : Shellsburg Couple Arrested on Charges of Sexual Abuse and Child Endangerment

The Benton County Sheriff's department made two arrests last week of Jeffrey and Stacy Diveley of Shellsburg.

JEFFREY SCOTT DIVELEY was charged with a total of 10 charges in several accounts involving sexual abuse of children.

He was charged with two counts each of:

SEXUAL ABUSE IN THE SECOND DEGREE, CLASS B FELONY

709.3 Sexual abuse in the second degree.

SEXUAL ABUSE - CONTINUOUS SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD, CLASS B FELONY

709.23(2)

709.23 Continuous sexual abuse of a child.

LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH A CHILD - FONDLE OR TOUCH. CLASS C FELONY

709.8(1)(a)

709.8 Lascivious acts with a child.

ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO COMMIT SEXUAL ABUSE, AGGRAVATED MISDEMEANOR

709.11(3)

709.11 Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse.

SEX ABUSE 3RD - CHILD VICTIM MEMBER OF SAME HOUSEHOLD, CLASS C FELONY

STACY MARIE DIVELEY was charged with two counts of CHILD ENDANGERMENT, AGGRAVATED MISDEMEANOR
