News : Benton County man killed in car vs. bicycle accident

Terry Zabokrtsky a 76-year-old man, from Walford, has been identified as the accident victim in a car vs. bicycle accident on Christmas. The Linn County Sheriff's Office was able to identify the man

At approximately 2:35 p.m. on December 25th, Linn County Deputies, Benton County Deputies, the Iowa State Patrol, Fairfax Fire and Area Ambulance responded to the accident in front of 11609 Linn Benton Road.

Officials report that a 2017 Silver Escape driving north on the Linn Benton Road, collided with Zabokrtsky who was riding on his bicycle, and also traveling northbound. Zabokrtsky was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Department.
