News : Fire Prevention Week begins and will end with Pancakes

Garrison kicked off Fire Prevention Week serving breakfast to raise funds to support the department

Area Fire Departments always respond when anyone in the county asks for their help. They cover a multitude of emergencies and sometimes fun events. This week, they will be busy educating kids in the area schools.

The departments in the area have made pancake breakfasts one of the highlights of the fall season. When you see the pancake breakfast signs go up, you know it's Fire Prevention Week. It's a fun way for the kids to get to meet the firemen and often their spouses and children as they serve the community in yet another way, with a hearty breakfast.
