What the American Flag Means to Me
To me, the American flag is a symbol of freedom. It reminds me of the many Americans who have sacrificed and risked their lives for our freedom. It reminds me of my great-grandfather and how he survived being a soldier in the Navy. It reminds me of my cousins, we might not be living the life we are now. Whenever I look at the American flag, I think of the many miracles that God has blessed my family with. I can't even imagine what our lives would be like without them. The American flag is a symbol of hope. My dad was in the hospital when I wrote this, so I was having a pretty rough time, but when I looked at the American flag, it gave me hope and courage to keep going.

What the United States Flag Represents to Me
The flag means to me that our country is free. In school, we get to say the pledge of allegiance everyday to honor our country. We honor our soldiers currently fighting to protect us and we honor all who fought. The American flag has different symbols and each has significance to me. The stars on the flag represent all the diverse people of the United States. The color red represents all the blood shed for us during war. The color white represents freshness for all the people who came to America to get a fresh start. The soldiers are making this country better every day by serving in all armed forces including the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard. When I see the flag, it reminds me to honor the men and women who have sacrificed so much for my freedom. Most of all, the flag makes me happy. I am happy to live in a country where we have the freedom to vote, to voice our opinions and to make dreams come true. I am proud to be an American.

What the United States Flag Represents to Me
The United States Flag represents freedom and pride to me because I know that the veterans and U.S. Army fought for the flag, and our freedom that the flag represents. The flag also means great honor to me because most of my family members were in the army, air force and the navy to help fight for our country. I also know that the U.S. flag should always be noticed for its beauty its freedom and pride. The flag is not just a flag it is way more important it is something that will never be forgotten because it is a symbol of the team that serves the I.S. It also represents the soldiers and everybody that tries to keep us safe. The flag represents trust to me because you had to trust your captain your boss or even your team and most important you had to believe in yourself you had to trust almost everyone around you to keep everyone safe and that's why I love the American flag because it represents trust. I still trust the American flag and everything about it because it represents freedom and trust. I also think that the American flag is awesome because it gives you faith and happiness whenever you see it. I also love the flag because it is bringing a lot of different people to love the same thing freedom.

Please join us in congratulating the winners.
