The Benton County Supervisors decided to continue a partial lockdown of the courthouse until October 6, when they will again discuss the issue. The Recorder and Auditor are open for walk ins, other offices require appointments.

According to the Iowa Coronavirus website, there is good news for Benton County.

The population of Benton County is 25,645.

As of 9/15:

60.78% were women and 39.04% were men

Total deaths in Benton County remains at 1.

When you hear that Iowa is the most dangerous place in the country, that made me do a bit of fact-checking of my own, check out the "CDC COVID Data Tracker" website, it's not. However, the safest state to live in is Wyoming. The state with the highest death rate would be New Jersey.
