Last year snow in October brought the iVinton project to a screeching halt. The installation of conduit and fiber to homes had to stop because the ground had frozen. The crews COULD have continued, but that would have torn up lawns and equipment. As we waited anxiously through the winter, spring came early this year and the crews have rolled back into town.

Working in the downtown area, businesses were running conduit in the ground last week.

The following statement was released by iVinton:

"iVinton will not be conducting site surveys or installations of homes or businesses until further notice. We are taking this step to reduce unnecessary interactions between individuals that might contribute to the spread of CORVID-19.

We will have less time to get all the construction and installation work accomplished when emergency guidelines are relaxed, so we are asking residents to continue reserving services by calling the office at 319-472-3255, or by visiting ivinton.com.

iVinton will not be sending bills for services until residents and businesses are connected."

In other words, if you still want a site survey so that iVinton can connect your home, CALL NOW! When the company gets the all-clear on the spread of the virus they will resume connecting at breakneck speed!

So be sure to call, let's go for 100% of property owners.

Look at it like this. This is as important as having water and electricity run to your home. The difference is that once the trucks leave town it will take several of you wanting service to bring them back. It's much easier to just get it done now! It's FREE now, and it won't be later. It will be a great selling point if you sell your home, so consider that as well. A home without internet access, is like one without lights!
