News : Maxine Vrba fundraiser raises over $6,000 for Iowa Stead Children's Hospital

The family of Maxine Vrba, the 18-year old that recently passed away, held a carnival in her honor. The carnival raised $6,480 which will be donated to the Iowa Stead Children's Hospital.

The family appreciated so much all that the hospital had done for Maxine from the time of her birth that they wanted to do something special to thank the hospital.

They had a couple of bouncy houses and a variety of items that were auctioned off via a silent auction.

Carnival treats were also available for purchase.

But most importantly this was to honor a girl that wanted to have this kind of party for her graduation which she did not have a chance to attend.

Maxine was a student at Center Point-Urbana and received an honorary diploma, she would have graduated this year.
