The Especially For You Race was held on 10-10-10 and Vinton had great representation! 

There were over 15, 300 participants this year overall in the race. 

We had 102 official Team Members and nearly 30 additional team members who walked with us for TEAM VINTON. 

We doubled our numbers from last year as we had 69 participants last year.  I've heard great comments from the people who did it for the first time. 

To see that sea of pink shirts as you walk or run down towards the finish line and realize how many people have been affected by it, really is overwhelming.  

We've had great community support and team support.  Our idea last year to start a team from Vinton has grown into great friendships and even a Breast Cancer Support Group that has started meeting once a month, which I just think is wonderful!

I was just amazed that I can send out an email asking for help getting all the packet/shirts/goodies and have people jump on board, and same with packaging everything up. 

We are truly blessed with all the great team members we have!  I've heard great things already for next year and have a few ideas of how to make things go even smoother for us. 

Our Ultimate goal would be to beat Fairfax, which had over 1,200 participants from their community; they get the school athletic teams, banks, businesses, etc involved.  I would just love to beat the runner up next year, which was Aegon with 463.  We have enough people in Vinton, we could do it!  It's for a great cause!
