News : Shopko celebrates grand opening

Many local leaders joined Shopko store personnel for a grand opening celebration this morning.

Shopko store employees and company representatives joined Vinton leaders in celebrating the Shopko Hometown grand opening on Friday morning.

Manager Marilyn Wiles presented a $2,500 check from the Shopko Foundation to Vinton-Shellsburg Superintendent Mary Jo Hainstock.

City Manager Chris Ward thanked Dave Wessling and other local economic development leaders for their efforts to encourage Shopko to come to Vinton.
