The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department in an attempt to accommodate the Homecoming Celebration will be changing the time of market on Thursday, September 23rd to 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. The school has recently announced the Homecoming Parade has been moved to Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Hopefully by moving the market an hour earlier, it will allow our vendors and all market goers the opportunity to shop for all their produce and baked goods, grab a sandwich from the Benton County Cattleman and still have time to get downtown for the parade.
The market will be having our Poppin’ Pleasure Night with Engineer Bob cooking and giving out some fresh popcorn that night. The last market for the season will be held on Thursday, September 30th with the winners of our Long Distant Balloon Contest being announced that night.
