The Benton County Community Foundation (BCCF), will be holding its grant awards ceremony and 10-year anniversary celebration on Tuesday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the Van Horne Community Building, 508 First Avenue, Van Horne. The BCCF will be awarding 30 grants totaling $101,998.
“We are excited to be able to support great nonprofits doing good things in Benton County,” said Ann Jorgensen, BCCF committee chair. “This event is a celebration of the people of Benton County and their desire to create communities everyone can be proud to call home.”
BCCF is a local, nonprofit, charitable affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. Due to the generosity and vision of individuals, families and businesses, the Community Foundation is able to build stronger, healthier communities in Benton County today, and in the future. BCCF supports donors and the communities it serves with visionary leadership, effective grantmaking and endowment building services.
The Benton County Community Foundation 2015 committee members include Gary Bierschenk, Philip Borleske, Anita Gordon, Alison Henkle, Terry Hertle, Ann Jorgensen, Harold Knaack, Rod Kubichek, Tim Peters, Rosemary Schwartz, and Nicholas Volk.
