District Court cases filed
Rex Duane Chiles, 21, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to driving while license revoked. His trial is scheduled for Nov. 1.
Pamela Yvonne Cummings, 45, Vinton, pleaded not guilty to Opertaing While Intoxicated, as well as possession of prescription medication. Her trial is scheduled for Oct. 4.
Anthony Joseph Hill, 20, of Vinton, acknowledged violating terms of probation, he consented to a finding of guilt (PCS, marijuana). He was then fined $315 and also ordered to serve two days, with credit given for time he had served. His driving privileges were also revoked for 180 days.
Shannan Lee Hughes, 38, Vinton, was charged with public intoxication. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 31. He was also charged with assault causing injury. A no contact order was issued.
Brandon Leo Hundley, 20, of Vinton, pleaded guilty for failure to register as a sex offender and was fined $625.
Charles Porter Kimm, 52, of Belle Plaine, pleaded guilty to public intoxication, third offense. He was fined $625 and sentenced to five days in jail, with credit for time served.
Hannah Ann Kluge, 20, of North English, pleaded not guilty to Opertaing While Intpxocated. Her trial was set for Nov. 1.
Joan Catherine Kraus, 48, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to OWI. She was fined $1,250, with $625 waived. She was sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for time served.
Phillip L. Lieberman, 48, of Bixby, Okla., pleaded not guilty to first degree theft. Trial was set for Oct. 4.
Joshua Louis Linnabery, 27, of Vinton, pleaded not guilty to public intoxication, third offense. His trial was set for Nov. 1.
Devanie Rae Linsey, 19, Vinton, pleaded guilty to eluding. She was fined $315 and ordered to serve 10 days in jail. That sentence was suspended and she was placed on unsupervised probation, with conditions.
Heather Jo McGhghy, 27, of Belle Plaine, pleaded guilty to possession of prescription medication. She was fined $315 and ordered to serve 30 days in jail, with 28 days suspended. She was placed on self-supervised probation.
Rachel Bakker Meadows, 24, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to Operating While Intoxicated. Trial was set for Nov. 1.
Becky Lee Meyers-Pray, 41, of Shellsburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit given for time served, and $315. Driving privileges were revoked for 120 days.
Adam Ray Reece, 25, of Center Point, pleaded not guilty to Operating While Intoxicated. Trial is set for Nov. 1.
Tammy Kaye Robertson, 52, of Cedar Rapids, was charged with Operating While Intoxicated. Preliminary hearing was set for Aug. 31.
Lori Ann Simon, 49, of Mt. Auburn, acknowledged that she was in violation of her probation on an original charge of assault causing bodily injury. She was sentenced to serve 90 days, with credit for time served.
William Daniel Snyder, 34, of Belle Plaine, pleaded guilty to public intoxication. He was sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for time served.
Joseph Lee Soard, 43, Vinton, pleaded guilty to possession of prescription drugs. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit given for time served. He was fined $315.
Tarina Maria Sparks, 34, of Belle Plaine, was charged with Operating While Intoxicated. A preliminary hearing was set for Aug. 31.
Leroy Dean Staker, 32, of Traer, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense. Judgment was deferred. The defendant was placed on self-supervised probation. A civil penalty of $1,250 was ordered.
James Michael Stevenson, 49, of Vinton, pleaded guilty to public intoxication, second offense. He was fined $315.
Edward Thomas Thornton, 40, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to driving while license under suspension. He was sentenced to two days in jail.
Michael Allen Trachta, 18, of Ames, acknowledged violating terms of probation. He consented to a finding of guilt and entry of conviction regarding criminal trespass causing damage; and criminal mischief in the fourth degree. For each conviction, he was issued a fine of $315. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail for each conviction, and given credit for time served.
Yvonne Marie Van Alst, 33, of Belle Plaine, pleaded guilty to child endangerment. Judgment was deferred. She was placed on supervised probation and fined $625.
