Two Iowa City residents died in a vehicle collision between a small car and a field sprayer Friday west of Van Horne.
According the Iowa State Patrol, Paul Hofmeyer, 42, was driving west on 70th Street on Friday evening, April 11, when his 2009 VW Jetta crossed the center line for unknown reasons, and collided with a Terra-Gator boom sprayer, driven by Jeffrey Selk, 42, of Keystone.
Hofmeyer and passenger Stacy Thompson, 44, died at the scene. The ISP says neither was wearing a seat belt. Selk was taken by ground ambulance to Mercy Hospital.
The investigation into the accident continues. See the ISP report HERE.
