Americorp NCCC Cedar 7 will be leaving Vinton in a few weeks

New Orleans, LA - Cedar 7 is completing their work with Project Homecoming next week. After several weeks bathing in southern hospitality and the summer sun, Cedar 7’s list of accomplishments is growing. Working on several houses in the greater New Orleans area, they have been working on demolition, leveling ceiling jousts, hanging drywall, laying tile, building and installing cabinets, and supervising and working with volunteer groups from all over the country. Cedar 7 is finishing out their 10-month commitment to service strongly, and although they are sad to part from each other on August 5th, they have all learned the lasting impact that one individual can have on a community. Cedar 7 would also like to thank the community of Vinton for welcoming us…you have been our home away from home.
