Virginia Gay Hospitals and Clinics are pleased to announce the addition of two new healthcare providers to our community.

Tim Mangold, a recent graduate of the University of Iowa Physician Assistant Studies Program, earned his PA-C credentials and recently joined the Vinton Family Medical Clinic. Originally from south eastern Montana, Tim came to Iowa after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training and working in the profession for several years. He currently resides in Coralville with his wife, Michelle, a Pathology resident at the UI, and enjoys golfing, running, and travel. Tim Mangold, PA-C values serving in a rural community because he grew up in a small town and has seen the need for providers first hand.

Tim is currently accepting new patients, call 319-472-6300 to set up an appointment.

James McLoughlin, another recent graduate of the University of Iowa Physician Assistant Studies Program, earned his PA-C credentials and recently joined the Virginia Gay Hospital as an ER/Hospitalist. James was born in Clarion, IA, as the second of six children and graduated from Iowa State University with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health. After college he worked as an Exercise Physiologist in Texas before returning to Iowa to prepare for graduate school. James and his wife, Hayley, a UI doctoral candidate in Neuroscience, live in Coralville. James McLoughlin, PA-C values serving in a rural community because “being part of a small community gives me the opportunity to get to know patients and give them a chance to get to know me, which is very important for quality healthcare,” says James.

James works in the VGH Emergency Department.

Please join us in welcoming Tim and James to our community.
