State Representative Derek Wulf backs Sires campaign in District 38
Republican Iowa State Senate candidate, Dave Sires, filed his official paperwork this week with the Secretary of State's office in Des Moines. Sires and his wife, Lisa, were joined by State Representative Derek Wulf and his family. Wulf, who represents half of Senate District 38 in the Iowa House, is backing Sires' candidacy.
"I want to thank the citizens of Senate District 38 who signed my nomination petitions to allow my name to appear on the ballot," said Sires. "I'm especially grateful for the support of my friend, Rep. Derek Wulf, who honorably represents the southern portion of our district in the Iowa House. I look forward to being a partner for him in the Iowa Senate."
Sires is a lifelong resident of Cedar Falls where he and his wife own and operate Cedar Village manufactured housing community and Added Self Storage. He served four years on the Cedar Falls City Council.
Iowa Senate District 38 covers parts of Black Hawk, Tama, and Benton counties representing the cities of Cedar Falls, Hudson, Evansdale, Elk Run Heights, Gilbertville, Washburn, LaPorte City, Traer, Dysart and Mount Auburn.
