Gov. Reynolds signs Students First Act into law
Governor Reynolds signed HF 68 into law today amid hundreds of supporters in the Iowa State Capitol. The Students First Act makes state education funding available for K-12 students who choose to attend private schools. “Public schools are the foundation of our education system and for most families they will continue to be the option of choice, but they aren’t the only choice,” Governor Reynolds stated. Governor Reynolds Sworn In On Friday, January 13th I attended the Joint Session to see Governor Kim Reynolds getting sworn in for another term. It was a great end to the speeches and ceremonies of the opening week. One of Governor Reynold's main priorities, school choice, has been progressing and will likely be on the debate floor soon.
