Changes are coming for Iowa individual income tax filers
Be prepared. Changes are coming next tax season for Iowans who file individual income tax returns. Individuals who file Iowa income tax, fiduciary, and inheritance taxes can now make payments and manage their accounts through GovConnectIowa, the State’s secure online tax and licensing portal. GovConnectIowa replaced the previous system called eFile & Pay.
STATE AUDITOR SAND CALLS ON IOWANS TO JOIN THE PACK OF WATCHDOGS FIGHTING FRAUD
State Auditor Rob Sand, the top watchdog for Iowa taxpayers, today called on all Iowans to join the Auditor’s Office in sniffing out fraud, waste, and misuse of public funds and resources. “It is incredibly important for people to be aware of fraud and be mindful that there are people out there trying to commit fraud,” said Sand.

Benton County Republicans Monthly Meeting, Caucus Training, Help Needed
The Benton County Republicans monthly meeting will take place Tuesday, November 14th, at the Van Horne Community Center (508 1st Ave., Van Horne). Just a reminder that we will have caucus training and pizza at 6:30, with the regular meeting to follow at 7 p.m. Caucus locations are listed below. Caucuses are Monday, January 17th, at 7 p.m.We still need precinct captains to help with the caucus, as well as one person at each precinct who is comfortable with technology and willing to act as recorder.
