Bus-eum to bring displays on Iowa settlers, POW camp to Vinton

On Tuesday, April 5, Michael Luick-Thrams and Irving Kellman will be here with their 44 foot Bus-eum. There are photographs, interactive displays, and video all dealing with “ At Home in the Heartland – how Iowans got to be us.

'Good Women & Bad Girls:' Historian to share history April

Last year, historian Kathy Wilson gave us a look at the changing role of American women from colonial times through the Victorian era, including what it meant to be a “straight-laced, uptight, or loose” woman.

Aqua Aerobics: VPRD sessions to begin March 30

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for an upcoming Spring session of Aqua Aerobics. This class will be held Wednesday and Sunday evenings at the Iowa Braille School’s indoor pool.
