Tomorrow, Governor Kim K. Reynolds, Lt. Governor Adam Gregg and the State of Iowa will honor law enforcement and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.

"May is National Stop the Bleed" month! North Benton Ambulance will be participating in this effort by hosting 2 classes.May 16th will be a Stop the Bleed class from 6 - 830 pm at the ambulance garage.

The Shellsburg Lions Club along with the Iowa Humane Alliance and the new Better Together Animal Rescue are holding their 7th Annual Golf Fundraiser at the Wildcat Golf Course on Sunday, May 19 with a 9:00 a.

Vinton-Shellsburg CSD is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

The Center Point Depot Museum is scheduled to open for the season on May 5th at 2 p.m. with the annual Player Piano Party. The event is free of charge.
