There will be a surplus sale on August 6th, 11:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m. in the Auto shop behind the Middle School.The district has numerous miscellaneous items for sale including a power washer, 7-ton truck frame hoist, metal/wood teacher desks, student desks & chairs, bookcases, wood cupboards, filing cabinets, computer tables, projector screens, carts w/ wheels, computer carts, wooden doors, and lots of other miscellaneous.

PARTY IN PINK 5K WALK/RUN RIVERSIDE PARK Party in Pink 5K will be held July 31, 2020, at Riverside Park inVinton, Iowa, we will follow all restrictions and safety precautions.

Vinton-Shellsburg will be holding a Zoom session concerning the upcoming school year which is set to begin on August 24.   There will be a question and answer time as part of this meeting.

The Shellsburg American Legion will be serving Saturday morning breakfast. The hours are, 8 - 10 am. We ask people to social distance at the tables (families, of course, can sit together) and wear masks if you choose.

On Friday evening, July 17, the Cedar-Mt. Auburn Fire Department will be holding a freewill offering fundraiser at the Legion Hall in Mt. Auburn.  Serving will run from 5-8:00 p.

We would like to invite the community to help us celebrate 100 Years in Business Friday, July 17. We will have pizza from Hazel and Opal’s starting at 11 until it runs out.

This Saturday, July 18 beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Celebration Park, you can join the Vinton Parks and Rec Department for Art in the Park. There will be sidewalk chalk available for those who had not pre-registered.
