The Heritage Area Agency on Aging will host its annual Caregiver Wellness Day event Friday, Nov. 19, 2010.  “A Celebration of Caregivers” is designed to give support and encouragement to informal caregivers of older adults in East Central Iowa and to help them focus on their own health and well-being.

  It's never too early to start making plans for the Christmas season! As we did last year, Vinton Unlimited is partnering with our local merchants to help kick off the Christmas shopping season the right way!  We've got some great activities planned in November and hope you will join us for all of them!    November 18  The 2nd Annual Lighted Holiday Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting will begin at 6:00pm.

  The Vinton Alzheimer Support Group is led by Sharon Carpenter – please contact Sharon at 319-573-5605 for more information.  The group meets monthly at Windsor Manor but will not have meetings through the winter.

The Mentor Club will meet at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12th, at the Vinton Country Club, featuring Karilea of Cameron's Clothing and Henkle Creek Mercantile.

  The Stephen Ministry at Cedar Hills Community Church 6455 E Avenue NW (corner of Stoney Point and E Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids), will host a free seminar on helping those grieving loved ones prepare to successful enjoy the holiday season.

PEO Chapter HG will meet Monday, November 8th at the home of Kathy Mossman at 6:30 p.m. for a soup and salad supper.
