This Sunday, May 18th, Windsor Manor will be hosting “Sundaes on Sunday” from 1-3 p.m. sponsored by the Car Cruise of Vinton. This event is a chance for anyone, friends and family, or anyone in the community who would like to come out and visit our residents at Windsor Manor to stop in and enjoy an ice cream sundae with all of the toppings! There will be door prizes and just a fun time of catching up with our folks at Windsor Manor.

The annual VSEA Retirement Reception and Awards Ceremony is tonight at Central Office from 4:00-5:30.  The Awards Ceremony will actually begin right at 4:00.

The first big event at the new Celebration Park in Vinton has already been planned for a week after the June 14 dedication ceremony. The Vinton Guild of Fine Arts plans a day long Arts Festival on Saturday, June 21, rain or shine, from 9 am.

Vinton-Shellsburg May Choral Night will be presented on Monday, May 19 at 7:00 in the middle school gymnasium.  Each of the middle school and high school choirs will be featured.

So, it's been awhile since Benton County has hosted an Open Coffee Event. Well, that's about to change. We're planning to have Open Coffee at Divine Decadents (109 Pearl Street) in Shellsburg on Wednesday, May 14th from 8am - 9am.

A ground-breaking ceremony for the new Garrison Public Library will take place on Wednesday, May 14, at 6 p.m. The building site is across the street from the Post Office.

An old fashioned tent revival will  be held at the Kiwanis Park in Vinton, May 18-21.    This exciting event will start Sunday Morning at 10:30 AM  With special singing and a guest speaker.

The Vinton Garden Club's Annual Plant and Bake Sale will take place Friday, May 16 , fron 5:00- 6:30 p.m. at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Doors will open at 5:00 p.

Please join the Supporters of Vinton-Shellsburg Wrestling on Saturday, June 21 for their 6th Annual "Go 4 the Pin! Golf 4 Wrestlers!" 9 hole, 2-person best shot golf tournament at the Vinton Country Club! Tee times are 9:30am and 1:30 pm.
