The Vinton Red Cross Community Blood Drive will be held Thursday, June 19, from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Vinton Skate Center.  Appointments can be made by calling Kristie at 472-4292.

A free Lewis & Clark Hunting, Fishing and Survival Camp for students in grades 3-6 is planned for July 4-5 at Rodgers Park. We ask that all non-campers register with Benton County Conservation.

The Benton county economic development Board (BDG) announced it will hold an informational meeting on the Farm to School Program June 24th, 7: 00pm at the US Bank meeting Room in Vinton.

The registration deadline is just a few days away...   Vinton's Two-Person Best Shot Golf Tournament will be held on Friday June 20, 2014 at the Vinton Country Club.

The annual Vinton Unlimited 3-Person Best Shot Tournament is on July 11th and we'd love to see you on the course!    The price has been lowered this year on registration and we've made a few other exciting changes to the day that should make for a memorable event! Just like in the past, we'll have Granny Throws and Mulligans available along with great prizes and give-a-ways for everyone who plays.

The monthly meeting of the Benton County Democrats will be held in Vinton at  the Pizza Ranch on Thursday, June 26th at 7:00pm. A Dutch treat buffet will  be available before the meeting.

We will be having Embroidery Software Club this Saturday afternoon June 14, at 1:00. Be sure to give us a call if you plan to make it. As always you will need to bring your computer and dongle.

There will be a Children's Bible Story hour, illustrated with felt art, every Tuesday afternoon, from 1-2 p.m. at the Vinton Community Service Center at 407 A Ave (across from the Laundromat).

The Vinton Parks and Recreation Department is planning a grand opening ribbon cutting, and evening festivities for Celebration Park in Vinton on Saturday, June 14.
