Training session to focus on changes in Iowa

The Benton-Iowa Decat Board will host Dr. Mark Grey who will present on Iowa’s population which is changing in ways that could not have been foreseen even five years ago.

A new fund-raising effort to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer has been set for Oct. 25. Playing for a Cure, a Bingo and bake sale event, will take place at Vinton-Shellsburg High School on Sunday, Oct.

Presbyterian Church to host chalk artist, Oct. 25

Drawing Closer Ministries, featuring chalk artist and Bible teacher Randy Davis of Ottumwa, will be the guest at the Vinton Presbyterian Church, 608 First Ave.

PEO Chapters MZ and HG will have a joint Founder's Day brunch at 9 AM, Oct. 24, at Windsor Manor.  Brenda Hackbarth will present the program.

Veterans Benefit Pancake Breakfast

On November 7, 2015 the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter will be hosting a Veterans Benefit Pancake Breakfast, to support local Veterans. The breakfast will be held at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School cafeteria at 7 am-11 am.
