The Ray & Virginia Boyer Post 166 will host a Memorial Day service at Oakwood Cemetery on Monday, May 31 at 11:00 am.The American Legion 3rd District Tomb of the Unknown float will be on display and will be honoring the 100 year anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington VA.

Friends of the Center Point Library secretary Carolyn Roseberry has been working on bunches and boxes of used books for the upcoming Book Sale. At its May meeting, the Library Friends made final plans for the sale to be held on Friday, June 11, from 3 to 7, and on Saturday, June 12, from 9 to 1:30 in the Library Community Room.

Doors will open at 08:00 for a freewill donation breakfast of: biscuits and sausage gravy, plain scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with onions and peppers, sausage/egg/cheese on an English muffin, coffee, milk, juice.
