Did you know 29% of the U.S. population provides care for a chronically ill, disabled, or aged family member or friend during any given year?

This impacts people’s health, finances and families. It is a cross cutting issue that will be at the top of many lists in the years to come. ISU Extension and Outreach provides leadership in Iowa for the national Powerful Tools for Caregivers program. It is an evidence based program with proven impact.

The fall Powerful Tools for Caregivers class leader training is fast approaching. It is in Newton, Iowa October 18-19. This training is designed for those who want to co-lead the dynamic Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshops. We strongly encourage attendees to come with a partner so they have a built-in teammate to lead the classes. As master trainers, Donna Donald and I are committed to providing a training experience that you will not soon forget.
