There will be a Silent Auction, Bingo, and Carnival Activities to raise money to help Sherry Wilmot with expenses accrued during her ongoing courageous fight with breast cancer. Her battle began in May of 2019 when she was diagnosed with multifocal, triple-positive breast cancer, a very aggressive form of cancer, and still continues.
Participate by donating money, auction items or purchasing items and playing carnival games on the day of the event. Contact Becky Schneider through Messenger or by phone 319-430-6463 or Deb Lutz at 319-721-5471 with donations or questions about the event. If you would like to send in a donation, you can mail your donations to the Sherry Wilmot Benefit, P.O. Box 228, Vinton, Iowa 52349.The event will be held on Saturday, May 15, at the Hesson Shelter at Riverside Park from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Sherry's journey isn't over by far! Due to the type of cancer and her body's low response to the original chemo, the battle, the drugs, the therapies, and the specialist, her visits will continue for years to come.
She forgets to let us all know that she really needs help. In all this time, rarely has she even asked. She's finally decided to ask. Remaining grateful, prayerful, and thankful for every day, in every way!!
