The Benton County Historic Preservation Commission would like to invite the public to a workshop devoted to highlighting communities and projects through unique events and displays. The workshop will be held on Saturday, August 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The location for the event is at the Benton County Courthouse located at 111 E. 4th St., Vinton. Admission is $20 per person which will include lunch and tour of the courthouse.

The workshop schedule is as follows:

Registration 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Keynote Speaker 9-9:30 a.m.

Break-out Sessions 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30 a.m.

Panel Discussion 11-11:30 a.m.

Lunch 11:30 a.m.

Tours Noon-1:00 p.m.

Many local experts will share insights and experiences about their journey. Join us in kicking off the start of Vinton's Sesquicentennial Celebration, while touring behind the scenes of the fully restored Benton County Courthouse Clock Tower and the newly developed Celebration Park.

Due to the security protocol at the courthouse, pre-registration for this event is required.
