“During the flight sequence when Astrid and Hiccup are riding the dragon, the animation is so good, and the story so engaging, that I forgot I was watching a cartoon.” Brian Larkin

Brian and son John enjoyed “How to Train Your Dragon” so much last Friday night that they returned on Sunday with Mom Sara. Indeed, all patrons are raving about this movie with comments like “That was great!” “I had no idea that movie was going to be so good!” “What a fun movie!” Moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, and kids of all ages love this animated adventure about Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel), a scrawny wannabe Viking, who works as a trainee blacksmith while his Viking father and leader Stoick (voiced by Gerard Butler) tries to protect their village from the invading forces of dragons. Dreamworks’ “How to Train Your Dragon,” opened last Friday nationwide AND at the Palace Theatre. “Dragon” will run one more week, Friday, April 2 through Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m. nightly, and Saturday and Monday and 2 p.m. And speaking of Dreamworks, if you’re in your seat soon enough, you can also catch the trailer for “Shrek Forever After” which opens nationwide on May 21. I’ll let you in on a little secret – we really hope to be showing this movie in digital 3-D! You can help us reach that goal! Make a donation when you purchase your tickets online or at the ticket window, or drop your change in the jar at the concession counter. Every little bit helps! And here’s the very best part – if we raise the $80,000 needed for a brand new digital cinema system, our ticket prices will still be only $2 for regular movies, $3 for 3-D movies!
