Events and Activities : Countdown to 10th annual Boomtown begins

The Boomtown Committee members have been working hard to prepare for the 10th anniversary event.

Our Vinton Boomtown Committee had a "prep" meeting last night with the Vinton Police Dept., and we are very pleased to say that the plans are all coming together nicely!! We did think we should take advantage of the remaining 30 days to remind our Facebook Friends of a few things, and as always, ask you to share the information!

Below are some things to remember as you plan for the event:

1. No coolers
2. Parking is $10 per car and Grandstand admission is $10 per person.
3. Gates open @ 3:00 (parking and grandstands)
4. No coolers!
5. Due to the recent EF2 tornado that came through Vinton, our lawn seating area may still contain small bits of storm debris/nails…please beware and tread carefully!! People from all over have done an awesome job w/ the clean up, but small debris is still a possibility...
6. It's our 10th Anniversary, so please~please~ PLEASE, expect a crowd, expect to have to wait a little bit, and BE PATIENT….just remember, there are a LOT of people out there volunteering and working as hard as they can to make this go smoothly and BE FUN for YOU…respect and patience are a MUST.

8. We have 17 hard working food vendors on site, inflatables for the kids, a beer tent and awesome live music by "Crazy Delicious"…please plan to spend some time visiting all of them before the show, and again afterwards while we wait for traffic to die down… See you all SOON!!!
